"DESIGNS THAT REFLECT OUR
AMERICAN HERITAGE"

Welcome to my blog. I'm probably very much like all of you who love the needlearts. My life revolves around family, friends, home and all things that help to make for a more contented life. When time allows; cooking, gardening, decorating, and collecting are my joys. I look forward to sharing all of these things with you. I also hope to keep you up to date on what is going on at Homespun Elegance, in regard to the needlework designs and the "Plain & Fancy Wares" that we offer.

Wishing you "Many Happy Stitches".

A Little Glimpse

Good Evening!
It has been a really busy day around here.  Just got
home from two fun get togethers with our friends.
One was a Kentucky Derby party which we go to
every year.  So much fun, so much good good,
and much needed relaxation.
But, I'm home now and wanted to do two things.
One is to remind you about the drawing on Wednesday
to celebrate having 500 followers.  I will be giving
away a very nice prize, so if you are interested, you
need to email or comment by then.  Also, the 35%
discount on all publications will end on Wednesday
as well.  Go to the previous post to read all the
details.
To those of you who have commented or sent
orders, thank you very much.  The response to
the discount has been great.

Now, I want to share with you a little glimpse
of the next design in
"The Avery Collection"
NOW I LAY ME DOWN TO SLEEP
This is turning out to be a really sweet design.
Every child's room needs this.  What a
special little stitch for a baby shower or new
baby gift.  Hope you like it.  Let me know
what you think.  I am working on several
other prayers and meaningful sayings
for children.

Wishing you a wonderful Sunday.
Hope you have
"Many Happy Stitches,
Sandra

  1. You know, I really shouldn't read this blog...it gets me into some stash-buying trouble.

This new design snippet looks wonderful. I can't wait to see the whole "reveal".

  2. I used to say this prayer with my sons each night at bedtime when they were young. It's a sweet design and I'd love to stitch it for my granddaughters.
