"DESIGNS THAT REFLECT OUR
AMERICAN HERITAGE"

Welcome to my blog. I'm probably very much like all of you who love the needlearts. My life revolves around family, friends, home and all things that help to make for a more contented life. When time allows; cooking, gardening, decorating, and collecting are my joys. I look forward to sharing all of these things with you. I also hope to keep you up to date on what is going on at Homespun Elegance, in regard to the needlework designs and the "Plain & Fancy Wares" that we offer.

Wishing you "Many Happy Stitches".
Sandra

Final Designs for 2013

Good Evening Everyone!
Have you all recovered from your Thanksgiving
feasts?  I still feel stuffed and I know I gained
a few more pounds.  I've reached the age where
everything I eat seems to result in more inches.
  So over it.  It just isn't fair.  I guess typing on
a key board and moving a needle in and out of a
piece of fabric doesn't burn enough calories.  I
think I'm in trouble.  Well, enough of that.
I want to share my last designs for this year.
Hope you like them.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you have read my Blog for very long, you
know that little Avery loves owls.  That has
resulted in two new designs.
"OWLS LOVE CHRISTMAS TOO!"
(Includes the "Candy Cane" charm)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"DELIVERING PEPPERMINTS
AND CANDY CANES"
Notice the button peppermint candies.  I used my
"Tiny Pearl" buttons and over stitched them with
red floss to make them look like peppermint
candies.  I give you a graph
for the candies in case you don't want to use
my button idea.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"YOU BETTER NOT POUT"
(includes the "Teddy Bear" charm)
This is my ornament for little Avery.  If you are a
blog follower, you know this is the year of the pout
for him.  He can really turn it on and it is
so precious.  Maybe in a year or two it won't be,
but now everything he does is precious to
all of us.
Notice the new and adorable "Grunge" Pom Pom trim.
It is from Elizabeth of Dames Of The Needle.  It is
just perfect for this ornament.  I love it!!
If you don't need to personalize the ornament,
just leave off the name above Santa.
It will still look just fine.
I hope you like my new designs and will have
time to add them to your Christmas stitching.
"Many Merry Stitches",
Sandra
