"DESIGNS THAT REFLECT OUR
AMERICAN HERITAGE"

Welcome to my blog. I'm probably very much like all of you who love the needlearts. My life revolves around family, friends, home and all things that help to make for a more contented life. When time allows; cooking, gardening, decorating, and collecting are my joys. I look forward to sharing all of these things with you. I also hope to keep you up to date on what is going on at Homespun Elegance, in regard to the needlework designs and the "Plain & Fancy Wares" that we offer.

Wishing you "Many Happy Stitches".

A Little Glimpse

Good Evening!!!
Hope everyone is happy and healthy on this
Friday night.  I am but I am really tired.
Have been working on Christmas designs
all day and printing my
"TURKEY TYME"
Needle Case.
So happy to report that it will be shipping
the latter part of next week.  Yeah!  Then I
can truly move on to my most
favorite time of the year~
***CHRISTMAS***
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Just wanted to share a "little glimpse"
of one of my new Christmas designs.
It has been in the works for a while
and will be finished very soon.
Remember my "Button Sampler"
series, well this is the newest one~
"CHRISTMAS TREES
'A PLENTY"
I so hope you like it.  Haven't decided exactly
how I will finish it yet, but it won't be
framed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In reference to my annual
"CINNAMON STICK
CHRISTMAS",
I have decided to do this after all.
It will not be an over-sized Santa, but
will be a Santa with multiple projects.
Something a little different!!!
I know that many of you have asked
about him, and not long ago I said
I might not do him this year, but I've
changed my mind.  I believe this
sort of indecision problem I have comes
with my advancing age.  Those of
you in my age group can probably relate.
Please forgive me.  I hope you will
like him so much that it will not matter.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, I must go.  Have lots to do
tonight.  We will be going to my son's
annual Oktoberfest Party tomorrow.  It
promises to be a beautiful day for an
outdoor party, so I won't get much
done tomorrow~except for some
car stitching on the way to Richmond.
"MANY HAPPY STITCHES",
Wonderful Memories!
Hi Everyone!
Just had to send out a little post about
the wonderful time Faye and I had
at Lori's
GATHERING~
I know everyone had as great a time
as we did.  You could tell by all the
packages they were toting around
and the big smiles on their faces.
The greatest joy came from meeting
so many of you that I have gotten to
know in the Prim Stitchers' Group
or just through our love for
needlework.  That is what brought you
there and why we were there.
Of course, the biggest draw was Lori and
her fantastic shop, filled to the brim
with "goodies" of all kinds.
Everyone who works with Lori are
just as delightful as she is.  She
surrounds herself with the best.
If you were there you probably got
to meet Peter, Lori's husband
 and partner in this fabulous
adventure of theirs.  He is great~
so helpful and giving.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have a few pictures to share.
Unfortunately I didn't get any personal
pictures or close ups of the booth.  The
pictures I'm sharing were all taken on
set up day, that is why you see cars, etc.
Not quite finished at this point of the day,
but you can get the idea.
Notice the plastic behind the flowers.
That is what you have to do to keep the
dew off of your display.  Everything
has to be covered before you leave it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To sum up the day, I have this to say~
~the weather was perfect
~the vendors were perfect
~the customers were perfect
~the friendship was perfect
~Lori and Peter were perfect
~the GATHERING was perfect
CONCLUSION
~you must all make plans to come
next September!!!  Can't
wait to see you then.
"MANY HAPPY STITCHES",
Sandra
Fun Tymes Coming!
Hi Everyone!
Well, it's tyme to go
"OVER THE RIVER
AND
THROUGH THE WOODS",
to
NOTFORGOTTEN FARM
WE GO!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The car is packed to the roof and
I still have to get my personal stuff
together and it is 8:00.
Of my gosh, I still have
a lot to do.
Wish me luck gathering
it all together and getting
myself out out here very early
in the morning.  I want to get
to Lori's so we can have plenty of
time to get it all set up tomorrow.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
I cannot wait to see all of you on
Saturday.  The weather is  promising to
be spectacular, so we are going to
have a wonderful fall day to visit.
SEE ALL OF YOU SOON,
SANDRA
