Welcome to my blog. I'm probably very much like all of you who love the needlearts. My life revolves around family, friends, home and all things that help to make for a more contented life. When time allows; cooking, gardening, decorating, and collecting are my joys. I look forward to sharing all of these things with you. I also hope to keep you up to date on what is going on at Homespun Elegance, in regard to the needlework designs and the "Plain & Fancy Wares" that we offer.

Give Away Time

Good Evening Everyone!
It has been a miserably hot summer day here
in Fredericksburg.  A great day to stay inside
and work on something special for Hollis' baby
shower on Saturday.  Also, putting the finishing
touches on a new patriotic design "Blessed Freedom"
 and the graphs for my three annual Christmas ornaments. 
 Here is a little sneak peak of the patriotic design.  It
will be released soon along with "The Lord's
Prayer" reproduction sampler.

give away one of each of my new publications 
shown below.

    Oh, how wonderful! I would so love to win either of the Halloween offerings! :D

    It seems terribly hot here today and yesteray, too! I'm planning to make "Gelled Yogurt" later--It's just 1 cup water (with a lemon jello packette dissolved into it. I add the zest and most of the juice of a lemon and a dash of vanilla) and 1 cup of plain yogurt (plus a few tablespoons). Wait to add the yogurt in until the jello has cooled to about room temp. This is an easy "recipe", but so refreshing. I like to use a mix of whole and reduced fat yogurts.
