"DESIGNS THAT REFLECT OUR
AMERICAN HERITAGE"

Welcome to my blog. I'm probably very much like all of you who love the needlearts. My life revolves around family, friends, home and all things that help to make for a more contented life. When time allows; cooking, gardening, decorating, and collecting are my joys. I look forward to sharing all of these things with you. I also hope to keep you up to date on what is going on at Homespun Elegance, in regard to the needlework designs and the "Plain & Fancy Wares" that we offer.

Wishing you "Many Happy Stitches".

Oldies But Goodies

Good Evening Everyone!
It is very late I know, but I have been putting a
few more designs on Etsy.  As you know, I have
been designing since 1979.  Can you believe that!
I really cannot believe it.  The years have just flown
by and I have enjoyed every one of them, at least
the designing part of it.  It never gets old.
Anyway I have decided to start reprinting some
designs that have been out of circulation for many
years.  They will be some of my favorites and I
hope they will be yours too.  Many of you are too
young or too new to the cross stitch world to have
ever seen them.  Here are a few tonight and there
will be more to follow.
"In A Garden"
"Summer Hare"
"Country House Sampler"
"One For The Crow"
If you are still awake, I hope you are enjoying
"Many Happy Stitches",
Sandra

  1. Sandra,
These designs are GREAT.The "Country House Sampler" is so crisp with beautiful color combinations.I love the old designs from the 80's and 90's. Are these designs
you posted going to be listed as patterns 4sale?
I was just looking at books for cross stitch patterns on PaperBackSwap and I came across many
books from those times. I started stitching in
1983 and was expecting my daughter in 1989. I continued stitching to this day but remember those days of crafts fondly.
Thank you so much for sharing and bringing
    back memories.
    Warm Regards,
    Susan Western Massachusetts
