"DESIGNS THAT REFLECT OUR
AMERICAN HERITAGE"

Welcome to my blog. I'm probably very much like all of you who love the needlearts. My life revolves around family, friends, home and all things that help to make for a more contented life. When time allows; cooking, gardening, decorating, and collecting are my joys. I look forward to sharing all of these things with you. I also hope to keep you up to date on what is going on at Homespun Elegance, in regard to the needlework designs and the "Plain & Fancy Wares" that we offer.

Wishing you "Many Happy Stitches".

A Little Glimpse

Good Evening Everyone!
First of all, I'm sorry I have been absent all week.
Faye was sick this week with an awful intestinal
thing.  She wasn't here so everything just kind
of fell apart.  Since I'm only here two days
with her, we have to work like crazy to
get everything done.  When one of us is
not here, everything goes to pot.
We needed to get so much done because
this coming week is a bad one.
I don't know if you remember about
my husband, Lehmer, having two heart
catherizations back in November.  Ever since
then we have been living with the fact that
something was still not right.  Well, he will
be going back for a third procedure Thursday
morning.  The older I get the harder it is
to deal with the stress of major health
issues.  I really have a hard time functioning,
sleeping, etc.  I will be so glad when this
is behind us with a good outcome.  Please
wish us luck.  Hopefully, all will go well
and I can get back to my old self.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
I want to give you a little glimpse of two
new designs.  I had hoped to release
them this week, but that will not be
happening.  If all goes well, maybe next
week.
~~~PARTY CATS~~~
This continues my "A Halloween Year II".
"OUR NEST"
This design celebrates the family and the home.  As
you can see I have a ways to go.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hope to be back with an update on Wednesday
when I get back home.  Tell then, I hope you
are making
"Many Happy Stitches",
Sandra
  6. Good morning Sandra,
    First I want to say I'm so sorry that I have not been a follower of yours...seems I was...but I am now.
    I also added you to my sidebar blog list. Not sure why you haven't been their either!
    You have been so faithful with comments and even personal e-mails about my life, my health and whatever and I have been horrible about returning it.
    But I'm here now and will continue. Bless you for hanging in there with me.
    I'm so sorry about the stress with y our husband and his health issues...as you know from my 'story' it can take one down in more ways than one.
    Praying for a good outcome.
    Your two new creations look like they will be beautiful as is everything you do.
    Blessings,
    Karen
  9. I hope things go well with your husband. My husband had a heart transplant three years ago, and he is going strong! Thank goodness we are living in this day and time with the miracles of modern medicine. Get some rest, and try not to worry. I hope Faye is feeling better.
  10. I want to thank all of my dear blog friends for your well wishes and prayers
    for Lehmer. It is so wonderful to know that so many of your are concerned
    for Lehmer and I. Obviously, I am very nervous about this latest procedure, but so hopeful that it will take care of his problem for good. I will let you all know the outcome as soon as I can.
    Love to all of you,
    Sandra
