"DESIGNS THAT REFLECT OUR
AMERICAN HERITAGE"

Welcome to my blog. I'm probably very much like all of you who love the needlearts. My life revolves around family, friends, home and all things that help to make for a more contented life. When time allows; cooking, gardening, decorating, and collecting are my joys. I look forward to sharing all of these things with you. I also hope to keep you up to date on what is going on at Homespun Elegance, in regard to the needlework designs and the "Plain & Fancy Wares" that we offer.

Wishing you "Many Happy Stitches".

Sneak Peak

Good Evening Everyone!

Thought I would show you what I have been
working on last night and today.  I gave this
job to Hollis a few months ago and after graphing
about half of it she gave it back to me.  She had
had enough of this one.  I thought, what could
be so hard.  Well, now I know.  This stitcher
obviously was in great need of glasses.   Hard
as it is to reproduce this sampler, it will be well
worth the effort.
It has just a small part of "The Lord's Prayer", but
just enough to make it so special.  Don't you
just love that "funky" house.  Obviously, the
stitcher also had a lack of floss and used what
she had.
I have to tell you how I got this sampler.
Two years ago, right before Christmas, Hollis
and Paul were home, and the three of us went
downtown to Historic Fredericksburg for the Christmas
Open House.  We were shopping and antiquing
(I don't know how excited Paul was though) and they
 had gone ahead of me.
Hollis found it and pointed it out to me.  She
knew I would love it.  Merry Christmas to
me.  Yeah!!  If you like it, you will be able
to have it in a few months too.

REMINDER
Go to the last post to see my next "Give Away".
I don't want anyone to miss it that might be interested.
Have a great night with "Many Happy Stitches",
Sandra

  3. I love this one and really enjoyed the story of how it came to you. If that house is any indication, this really is one special sampler!
