"DESIGNS THAT REFLECT OUR
AMERICAN HERITAGE"

Welcome to my blog. I'm probably very much like all of you who love the needlearts. My life revolves around family, friends, home and all things that help to make for a more contented life. When time allows; cooking, gardening, decorating, and collecting are my joys. I look forward to sharing all of these things with you. I also hope to keep you up to date on what is going on at Homespun Elegance, in regard to the needlework designs and the "Plain & Fancy Wares" that we offer.

Wishing you "Many Happy Stitches".

New Designs Are Ready

Good Afternoon Everyone!
I hope all of you are doing well.  It has been a long
time since my last post.  I have been beyond busy.
Getting ready for two large Trunk Shows at the
same time is a very time consuming job.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm happy to say that Jennifer Cave from
Valley Needleworks will be displaying my
Trunk Show at the
PRIM STITCHERS' RETREAT
in Williamsburg, VA.  I was  suppose to be there,
but my daughter sold her home and the buyers
insisted on a really quick closing date.
Consequently, we are helping them pack
up very quickly and then they will be moving
home to live with Lehmer and I until their
house is built.  This move will be taking place
the weekend of the RETREAT, therefore, I am
unable to be there.
The other Trunk Show will be going to
CELEBRATION OF NEEDLEWORK in
Nashua, New Hampshire.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm so excited about these two events and hope
that many of you are planning to go.  You do
not have to be attending the Retreats in order
to go to the Merchant Malls.  This is where you
will find a multitude of wonderful merchandise
to add to your stash.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, last but not least, here are my two new
publications.
"A WELCOMING ABODE"
 The framed design is stitched on 30 Count "Putty"
hand-dyed linen from Weeks Dye Works.  It is mounted
in one of my grained frames and embellished with
my "Tiny Pineapple" brass charm.
The pillow is stitched on 18 Count "Classic Homespun"
hand-dyed linen from R & R Reproductions.  Both are
stitched with a variety of fibers.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
"BEE SKEP LOVE"
Hanging Pouch
Here is another one of my popular
"Hanging Pouches"  It is stitched on
20 Count "Putty" hand-dyed linen from
Weeks Dye Works, using a variety of fibers,
and embellished with my "Mini Cream" buttons.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hope you see something you like!
Many Happy Stitches,
Sandra
