"DESIGNS THAT REFLECT OUR
AMERICAN HERITAGE"

Welcome to my blog. I'm probably very much like all of you who love the needlearts. My life revolves around family, friends, home and all things that help to make for a more contented life. When time allows; cooking, gardening, decorating, and collecting are my joys. I look forward to sharing all of these things with you. I also hope to keep you up to date on what is going on at Homespun Elegance, in regard to the needlework designs and the "Plain & Fancy Wares" that we offer.

Wishing you "Many Happy Stitches".

Very Important Message

Hi Everyone,
this is an
IMPORTANT MESSAGE~PLEASE READ

I'm writing all of you today to let you know of a big
decision that I have made.  Simply put, I have decided
to downsize my business.  Since 1979
I have been in this wonderful business enjoying
every aspect of it.  However, the time has come
to put more of my energy into other things.
Please do not read more into this.  I'm just ready
to spend more time on myself and with
my family.

The saddest part of this decision is that my wonderful
Faye will no longer be here to answer your questions
and take care of all of you and me.  She has agreed to
come back on an "as needed" basis ~ such
as proofing new designs.  Faye has been with me for
almost 28 years.  How can I live without her at
Homespun Elegance?  Only time will tell, but I cannot
do it ALL without her, that is for sure.
Consequently, the following things will take effect as
of November 15th.

1) I will not be selling any embellishments or my
hand-painted and grained frames any longer.  If you
wish to stock up on these, you are welcome to do so by
November 15th.  I am going to put together a few
large assortments of charms (at a discounted price),
and they will be available until they are gone.  I will
not be placing orders for more charms.
SHOP OWNERS -
you can still get most of these
charms from By Jupiter (telephone 623-931-2658).

2) I am in the process of trying to find a distributor
for my Olde Brass buttons.  Please decide what you
might need and place your orders
by November 15th because I do not know how long it
will take to find a distributor.

3) I will not be selling wholesale.  My designs will
only be available from my distributors -
Hoffman, Norden, Wichelt Imports, and Yarn Tree.
Any new designs will be shipped to them.

4) My ETSY Shoppe will be put in vacation mode.
I will not be selling retail at this time.  For
those of you who bought from my ETSY shoppe,
please contact your shoppe and hopefully they can
get what you want from the above distributors.

5) I will not be on Facebook on a daily basis.  I
will pop back in whenever I have new designs
or something special to share.

6) I still plan to design (I cannot give up designing)
and release my designs through my distributors.
I will make sure you know when they are available,
either through Facebook or my Blog.

THE "GOOD NEWS"!
I am going to keep my Blog.  I hope you will visit
and sign up as a follower.  That way you will be
informed of new designs, etc.  I'm
hoping to have a spot on my Blog that will picture
all designs that are still available.  This way all
of you, shop owners and stitchers alike, can see
what is available.
In time, I will be offering hundreds of models that
I have in storage, discontinued and one-of-a-kind
frames, merchandise left over from my shoppe owner
days, wonderful items to incorporate in some way
with your needlework, and items that I plan to
make and even some more painting (which I have
missed).  I'm hoping you will find something that
you cannot live without.

Faye and I will be available until November 15th
to answer any questions you may have.  It will be
business as usual until then, but after that
am truly going to take time for me and my family.

Please remember that I am still going to be designing.
I will just have a different way of doing
business, one that allows me some down time
after all of these years.

Thank you so much for your continued patronage,
wonderful friendships, and for allowing me to
share with you something that I love.  You have
all made my career very rewarding.  I could
never begin to tell you how much you mean to me.

Many, Many Happy Stitches!
Sandra
