"DESIGNS THAT REFLECT OUR
AMERICAN HERITAGE"

Welcome to my blog. I'm probably very much like all of you who love the needlearts. My life revolves around family, friends, home and all things that help to make for a more contented life. When time allows; cooking, gardening, decorating, and collecting are my joys. I look forward to sharing all of these things with you. I also hope to keep you up to date on what is going on at Homespun Elegance, in regard to the needlework designs and the "Plain & Fancy Wares" that we offer.

Wishing you "Many Happy Stitches".

Our Christmas House

Good Morning Everyone!
First of all ~
I want to wish each and every one
of you
a belated wish for the
merriest Christmas ever.
I was so sick the days leading up to
Christmas, it was all I could do to
get ready.  I never did get completely
ready, but it was the best it could be.
Thankfully most of the decorating
was done, but the shopping, wrapping,
cooking, etc. was way behind, but
it truly was wonderful regardless
of not being up to par.
Lehmer and I went to Hollis and
Paul's Christmas Eve.  That was
the first time we have ever been away from
home on Christmas Eve. We had a
wonderful brunch in their beautiful
new dining room Christmas
morning. Cameron and his girl friend,
Summer, were there too.
New memories in the making.
It was so much fun to be
together and get
to see Avery experience his
first real Christmas, by that I mean
he was really into what Santa
brought him and all of his other
gifts.  Just so special.
A while after brunch, Lehmer and
headed back up to Fredericksburg
so I could continue wrapping the
gifts and generally clean up the
mess that we had left behind on
Christmas Eve. Boy, what a
whirlwind. A few hours later
everyone arrived here and we
finally opened gifts around
5:00. We never
got to the stockings until the next
morning.  Crazy ~ but so much fun.
Avery was delightful and so excited.
He would say Santa ~ HoHoHo.
With his little voice it was just the
cutest thing ever.  I hope I can get
it on video, so we can remember
it always.

Wanted to share some pictures with
you.  Hope you enjoy them!

"JOY" through the eyes of
a child~

Decorating for Christmas has always
been my "JOY"~

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hope you enjoyed my little Christmas
"Show and Tell".  So sad that it is just about
over for another year.  I guess this means I
have to get back to work and start designing
for the new year. Wonder what it will
bring. I have a few ideas, but I want to
dwell in this beautiful season for a few
more days.
"Many Merry Stitches",
Sandra
