"DESIGNS THAT REFLECT OUR
AMERICAN HERITAGE"

Welcome to my blog. I'm probably very much like all of you who love the needlearts. My life revolves around family, friends, home and all things that help to make for a more contented life. When time allows; cooking, gardening, decorating, and collecting are my joys. I look forward to sharing all of these things with you. I also hope to keep you up to date on what is going on at Homespun Elegance, in regard to the needlework designs and the "Plain & Fancy Wares" that we offer.

Wishing you "Many Happy Stitches".

Just For A Good Laugh

Good Evening Everyone!
Hope everyone is doing well.  I came down
with a nasty cold/sinus thing New Year's Eve
and have been miserable ever since.  I will
finish one of those Z Packs tomorrow and
I'm not much better, so I guess I will be
going back to the doctor.  Trying to take
down and put away Christmas decorations
when your head is about to explode,
 cannot breath, and are coughing
constantly is just great fun.  I hope none
of you get this stuff.
In the misery of dismantling Christmas,
there was a little bit of merriment.
Do you remember Zeus?  He came to
stay with us early last summer, while Hollis
and Paul's house was on the market.  Well,
the house is still on the market and guess
who is still here.  I don't think he found
this very amusing, but Lehmer and I did.
My designing is suffering as well as my head.
I just cannot focus at all and this is not good.
Faye comes back to work tomorrow and we
have so much to do.
Hope to have something new to show you
very soon.
Many Happy Stitches,
Sandra

I just LOVE that photo of Zeus. LOL I'm sure he would have plenty to talk about with my Rory. (I tend to take photos of him in costume too. LOL)

  3. OMG that is hilarious! Zeus looks like a good sport! I had that awful sinus infection before Christmas and I am just happy to say it is finally gone!! I ended up getting way behind on the Christmas prep and was exhausted throughout the holiday. Hope yours goes better and hey maybe this is the rest you need (you are resting right?) to get your creative juices flowing again. Think of it as a miserable vacation! :) LOL! just kidding!

  5. Zeus does not look impressed! It definitely is funny though. I hope you're feeling better very soon. I know quite a few people who have come down with that cold.

  6. Hope you're feeling better soon. Poor Zeus...I was raised with a HUGE St. Bernard. One summer we strapped our barrel of monkeys around her neck and entered her in the fireman's parade. She won a prize!

  7. Zeus does look a bit miserable! But, oh that is funny!

Please keep up with the doctor about your cough. I let mine go until I had bronchitis. Not fun.

I know you have deadlines and such with the designing but, take care of yourself first!
