"DESIGNS THAT REFLECT OUR
AMERICAN HERITAGE"

Welcome to my blog. I'm probably very much like all of you who love the needlearts. My life revolves around family, friends, home and all things that help to make for a more contented life. When time allows; cooking, gardening, decorating, and collecting are my joys. I look forward to sharing all of these things with you. I also hope to keep you up to date on what is going on at Homespun Elegance, in regard to the needlework designs and the "Plain & Fancy Wares" that we offer.

Wishing you "Many Happy Stitches".

Better Late Than Never

Happy New Year Everyone!
It has taken me a while to get to it but here is
my annual Christmas House tour.  So many of
you asked for it, so even though it seems like
an after thought, I would love to share
Christmas
at the
Sullivan's.
I think you will see that
I love "vintage", Williamsburg Colonial,
and "primitive" Christmas decorations.
This is very picture heavy, so I hope you
have lots of time.
Click on each picture to see it larger.
Hope you experience some Christmas joy,
even if it is a bit late!!!

Happy New Year wishes
from Avery and his
Grammie!!!

    1. Hi Jessica, I love trees a lot as I'm sure you could tell. I hate to put them all away. Decorating is so much fun, but not the undecorating(is there such a word). HaHa

  4. Everything is just beautiful. There are so many things that caught my eye. One in particular is possibly a wreath on your coffee table with what looks to be a berry ring inside the wreath with a candle in the center. What is that? I love it. Also, I share you love of vintage ornaments. I have them everywhere. Yours pictures are an inspiration and now I'm off to do a little winter decorating. Happy New Year!

    1. Thank you so much, Sherri, for all of your wonderful comments. The berry wreath is just one of those "faux" holly berry wreaths. I probably got it at a craft store. Have had it a long time. The vintage ornaments are a great love of mine. I have had to stop looking at them at antique stores. I certainly don't need any more but I can't resist if I find them at a good price. Almost as bad as collecting needlework stuff, but not quite. HaHa!

    1. Us Virginia girls do seem to like the same things. Williamsburg is just one of my favorite places. Our son, Cameron, graduated from William and Mary, so we spent a lot of very special times there. If I don't go to Williamsburg at Christmas, I have some serious withdrawal. Thank you for your kind words.

  14. Hi Robin, Such a sweet message, I appreciate it so much. I'm so happy you enjoyed by little tour. I love to decorate and wish I could entertain all of my needlework friends during the Christmas season. Wouldn't that be fun? Avery is our little blessing. He is so much fun and he was absolute blown away by Christmas. This was the first year that he realized what Santa was. Next year should really be something. I hope you have a wonderful New Year too. I'm wishing for good health and happiness for everyone. Smiles and Hugs to you too~Sandra
