"DESIGNS THAT REFLECT OUR
AMERICAN HERITAGE"

Welcome to my blog. I'm probably very much like all of you who love the needlearts. My life revolves around family, friends, home and all things that help to make for a more contented life. When time allows; cooking, gardening, decorating, and collecting are my joys. I look forward to sharing all of these things with you. I also hope to keep you up to date on what is going on at Homespun Elegance, in regard to the needlework designs and the "Plain & Fancy Wares" that we offer.

Wishing you "Many Happy Stitches".

A "Little Glimpse"

Good Afternoon Everyone!
Hope you are having a great day.  It is hot and humid
here and we just had a thunderstorm which has
dropped the temperature a lot.  Thank goodness!
Thank goodness also, that for once, there were
no tornado or high wind warnings.
That seems to be the norm the last few years.
I remember when we use to look forward to
"the garden variety" of afternoon thunderstorm
to cool everything off.  Now I dread
thunderstorms and worry about what will come
with them.  Anyway, this one was OK.
~~~~~~~~~~~
I promised you a little glimpse of something new.
This is called
"PEACE TO EWE"
and you will surely be able to stitch this in time
for July 4th.
This was stitched on 20 Count "Putty" by
Weeks Dye Works using three plies over
two threads.  I used a variety of fibers,
but I always give you an
ALTERNATE COLOR CODE.
I hope you will like the finish.  A hint--
it will be something useful.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, back to work.  Hope you like it.
"Many Happy Stitches",
Sandra
