"DESIGNS THAT REFLECT OUR
AMERICAN HERITAGE"

Welcome to my blog. I'm probably very much like all of you who love the needlearts. My life revolves around family, friends, home and all things that help to make for a more contented life. When time allows; cooking, gardening, decorating, and collecting are my joys. I look forward to sharing all of these things with you. I also hope to keep you up to date on what is going on at Homespun Elegance, in regard to the needlework designs and the "Plain & Fancy Wares" that we offer.

Wishing you "Many Happy Stitches".

New Stuff!

Hello everyone.  Hope all is well in your part of the world and that you aren't suffering with the heat as we are here in Virginia.  I planted four rose bushes and a variegated boxwood this spring and I am so afraid that I might lose them.  When you water, which we are having to do almost daily, the water just dries up so quickly. We came back from vacation a few weeks ago and had lost a number of potted plants and some of my perennials.  I wanted to replant but if this continues we will have water restrictions soon.  Thank goodness for air conditioning!!

Well, here it is, a sneak preview of my next "DELIVERING" series - "Delivering Tricks".  It will start with Autumn - the beginning of my favorite seasons of the year.  There will be four seasonal designs in the series.

Also, the first in my
ANNUAL ORNAMENT series is just about ready.  It is called "Stitching Joy", which is what I do every time I pick up my needle.  Here is a little snippet.

Stay cool.  A great time to stay inside and make
 "Many Happy Stitches".

  7. Hi Everyone,
I'm sorry it has taken me so long to reply to all of your wonderful comments. I couldn't get my comment to post and finally my son, Cameron, told me I needed to be signed in. I guess I should have known that, but you all must understand my lack of common sense in regard to technology. Anyway, I now know. It means so much to me that all of you like my stuff. I love doing the Delivering series and my Annual Ornaments. To Anonymous, I am not doing a large Cinnamon Stick Santa this year. Every few years I need to take a break from him and this is the year. Talk to all of you soon.

    Many Happy Stitches,
    Sandra
