"DESIGNS THAT REFLECT OUR
AMERICAN HERITAGE"

Welcome to my blog. I'm probably very much like all of you who love the needlearts. My life revolves around family, friends, home and all things that help to make for a more contented life. When time allows; cooking, gardening, decorating, and collecting are my joys. I look forward to sharing all of these things with you. I also hope to keep you up to date on what is going on at Homespun Elegance, in regard to the needlework designs and the "Plain & Fancy Wares" that we offer.

Wishing you "Many Happy Stitches".

A Little Glimpse

Good Evening Everyone!
Just wanted to stop by with a quick post
to share a "little glimpse" of my
2013
 Annual Snowman Ornament
~~"Waiting and Watching"~~

I think he is going to be a really sweet
addition to your Christmas decorating.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am working really hard to get all of the ornaments
and my Cinnamon Stick Santa finished.  Hope to ship
them out to my AUTOS and Distributors late
next week.
The Sampler ornament is on its way to me now.  I
cannot wait to see it.  I really love this one.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Like I said, this is a short post.  Need to get
back to my stitching.

A Really Special Day!

Good Evening Everyone!
Just had to share a really fun day. Yesterday was
a Meet and Greet at my Trunk Show at Stitcher's Stash in
Fairfax, Virginia.  If any of you live anywhere near this
adorable shoppe or plan to travel to the Northern Virginia
area, you must make this a destination.  You will not be
disappointed.  She has a wonderful selection of fabrics,
fibers, and of course, all the designs in the world, including
mine.  Yeah!
Lots of really lovely stitchers (and some wonderful friends)
came.  I so enjoyed visiting with everyone.  That is the part that
I still miss about giving up my shoppe almost four years ago.
There is nothing like talking "stitching" with those that love
it as much as you do.
Thank you Jackie (the shoppe proprietress) and Carol,
here lovely assistant, for making me feel so welcome.

As you can see, my stuff is everywhere.
Hope you enjoyed the Trunk Show.  There are even
more pictures, but I thought this might be enough.
Thank you Jackie, for sharing your shoppe with
me and my designs.

Many Happy Stitches,

SATURDAY YARD SALE

~~WELCOME TO MY YARD SALE~~
Hope you find something you can't

Anyway, here is a variety of things that I hope you
will like.

for shoppe.  Each one is made from beautiful fabrics
and embellished with a vintage button.  There are
three pockets and a stuffed area at the bottom for your
needles and a linen pocket for your stitching.
Each one measures about 13" X 4".

can make them so special.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~STITCHING BAG~~
a wonderful bag for your stitching project or just
to be used as a purse.  The linen flap is
32 count unbleached linen.  It is attached with
velcro to make stitching easier and for washing-
if necessary.  You can tell by the closeup
pictures how well it is made.
$17.00 including the shipping
The linen color is more like the one directly
above.  Photography really messes with
the color.  The purse measures 20 1/2" High X
12" Wide.  It has a gusset bottom.
2013 Santa Ornament
Good Evening Everyone!
Lehmer and I just came in from the backyard
and there is this wonderful crispness in the air -
almost chilly.  I know it is just a tease because the
heat and humidity are coming back tomorrow,
but it felt wonderful.
I've been working on Christmas designs for the
last few weeks and it has been so much fun.
My 2013 Christmas Snowman and Sampler
are being stitched right now, and I have just
finished the Santa.
Thought I would go ahead and let you see
a little of him.  Love the way he turned out.  Santa
is always my favorite design to do.  Please
let me know what you think.
2013 Annual Santa Ornament
"Giver of Goodies"
~Includes the Santa Face embellishment~
I hope to have all of the ornaments ready
soon, so you have plenty of time to get them
stitched for the "most wonderful time of the year".
Now I have to decide how to finish him.  That's
my goal for tomorrow.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Have a great night.  Off to find my sewing needle~

so I cannot tell you from which company
or any history.  That being said, I still think
they would make a lovely addition to your
collection and best of all, you do not have to
stitch them.
